Clayton W. Moore has been actively involved in the commercial real estate business in Atlanta, GA on a full time basis since 1967.
Mr. Moore is a graduate of the McCallie School (1961), the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1965) and the Emory University School of Law (1968). At the University of North Carolina, Mr. Moore graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. At Emory Law School, Mr. Moore graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree.
Since 1967, Mr. Moore has invested in and brokered and managed commercial real estate, including income producing property and land, in the Atlanta area and throughout the southeastern United States.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Mr. Moore owned and managed his own real estate brokerage and investment company in Atlanta – The Clayton W. Moore Company. Since that time, Mr. Moore has both owned and worked for several major Atlanta real estate companies including:
- Adam Properties (current, sole owner)
- Investment Property Group (partner with David Simpson)
- European American Equities (partner with Alan Bullock)
- Ackerman and Co. (broker)
- Carter and Associates (Director of Sales – Land & Bldgs).
In 1981, Mr. Moore took and passed several demanding real estate courses and received the CCIM designation. In real estate circles, the CCIM designation is often referred to as the “Ph.D. of commercial real estate”. CCIM stands for Certified Commercial Investment Member of the National Association of Real Estate Boards. In 1987, Mr. Moore served as President of the Georgia Chapter of CCIM.
Mr. Moore is married and has three daughters – Roslyn, Lisa and Casey. He is a member of the Capital City Club. In addition to managing the properties in Atlanta, GA, since 1997, Mr. Moore has been active in investing in real estate in Amelia Island, FL. For the past 30 years, the properties Mr. Moore has invested in and managed have an annual occupancy rate of over 95%.
